Tree work in North Brisbane
The northside is a longer drive from Sheldon, 40 minutes to an hour depending on the suburb, so we group northside jobs and are usually up there a couple of days a week. The work is much like the south: mature gums and camphor laurels over 60s and 70s houses in Aspley, Stafford, Kedron and Everton Park; leafy, hilly bush blocks at The Gap, Ashgrove and Albany Creek with eucalypts on steep ground; coastal trees at Sandgate and Bracken Ridge; and the newer estates at Bridgeman Downs, Carseldine and North Lakes with cocos palms, golden canes and lilly pilly hedges that have got away.
Northside clients usually find us through a neighbour or a job we did nearby, and the same rule applies as everywhere else: a written quote, a fixed price, the chipper on the day, and the yard cleaned before we leave.

Most of the northside is Brisbane City Council, where the Natural Assets Local Law 2003 applies and the council fact sheet exempts trees within 3 metres of the house, trees under 30cm trunk diameter, dead and hazardous trees, and pruning of up to 20 per cent of foliage a year. Albany Creek, Strathpine, North Lakes and everything north of the Pine River is the City of Moreton Bay, which protects habitat trees and koala habitat through its planning scheme overlays and says you may need approval before clearing. We check whichever mapping applies to your address before quoting.
