Our story
A Redlands tree crew, not a franchise
Dan's Tree Experts was set up to do tree work the way it should be done in the suburbs: by qualified climbers, with the right gear, at a fixed price, and with the yard cleaned up afterwards. The business is based at Sheldon, in the bushland belt between Capalaba and Mount Cotton, which puts the Redlands, Logan and Brisbane's southside within half an hour of the yard.
The crew is small on purpose. Dan runs the jobs, quotes them himself and climbs on most of them, with two experienced ground and climbing crew, a tipper truck, a wood chipper, a stump grinder and a full set of rigging and climbing gear. That is enough to take down a 25 metre gum over a house in a day and small enough that you are never dealing with a scheduler who has not seen the tree.
Most of the work is tree removal, and most of the rest is the maintenance that stops trees needing removal: pruning, deadwooding, palm cleaning and hedging. We work to Australian Standard AS 4373 for pruning and the Safe Work Australia guide for tree work, we carry public liability insurance, and we know the difference between the Brisbane, Redland and Logan vegetation rules well enough to save you from an expensive mistake.

Fixed written quotes
Every job gets a written price after we have seen the tree. No hourly rates, no extras for chipping or clean-up.
Safety first, every time
Rigging over structures, exclusion zones near powerlines, and a plan for every section before it is cut.
Straight answers
If a tree does not need to come out, we say so. If a lopping job will make the tree worse, we say that too.
Leave it clean
Raked, swept and blown. The only sign we were there is the tree that is gone.
