FAQ
Before you call: quick answers
How much does tree removal cost in Brisbane?
Published Brisbane guides put small trees at $300 to $900, medium trees at $800 to $2,500 and large trees over houses at $2,000 to $5,500, with very big or difficult trees above that. Access, what is underneath the tree and powerlines matter more than height. We give a fixed written quote after seeing the tree, and our calculator gives a starting figure.
Do I need council approval to remove a tree?
Sometimes. Brisbane City Council's own fact sheet exempts trees within 3 metres of the house, trees under 30cm trunk diameter, dead trees and hazardous trees. Redland, Logan, Moreton Bay and the Gold Coast have their own overlays and exemptions. We check the mapping for your address as part of every quote and tell you straight.
Are you insured and qualified?
Yes. Dan's Tree Experts carries public liability insurance and the crew are qualified arborists working to Australian Standard AS 4373 and the Safe Work Australia tree work guide. Certificates are available with your quote.
What areas do you cover?
All of the Redlands and Logan, Brisbane's southside and bayside, north and west Brisbane, and the northern Gold Coast down to Helensvale. We are based at Sheldon, so the Redlands, Logan and the southside are our quickest response.
