Tree services in Daisy Hill: what we see and what we do
Daisy Hill is defined by the Daisy Hill Conservation Park and its Koala Centre, and the suburb's streets wrap around that bushland on big, sloping blocks. Houses date mostly from the 1980s and 90s, and the estates kept plenty of the original scribbly gums, tallowwood, grey gums and ironbarks, all koala food trees. Gardens add silky oaks, jacarandas and leopard trees. Koalas are a daily sight along the park edge, and the bush means summer storms and bushfire both matter here.
Around Daisy Hill the crew does hazardous gum removals, deadwooding and thinning over homes, and bushfire clearance along tree lines. Because the suburb sits beside core koala habitat, many lots fall inside Logan City Council's Biodiversity Areas overlay where clearing may need approval unless exempt, so we check your property's mapping before quoting (Logan City Council). We tell you which trees are koala food trees, and where thinning to AS 4373 will do the job we recommend it.
Things to watch on Daisy Hill properties

Logan City Council rules for Daisy Hill trees
Logan protects vegetation through the Biodiversity Areas Overlay and the Waterway Corridors and Wetlands Overlay of the Logan Planning Scheme 2015. Outside those mapped areas, clearing on a lot under 5,000m² is generally exempt, as is a bushfire protection zone within 10 metres of a dwelling, garden and lawn maintenance, and removal of cadaghi and umbrella trees. Inside a Biodiversity Area, a koala corridor or a waterway corridor you need an operational works approval. Council has an online vegetation clearing decision tool and we run your address through the mapping before quoting.
