Tree services in Browns Plains: what we see and what we do
Browns Plains is a 1980s and 90s suburb built around Grand Plaza on flat ground along Browns Plains Road and Wembley Road. Blocks are standard suburban size and the gardens are from that era: cocos palms, golden canes, umbrella trees, leopard trees and bottlebrush, with lilly pilly hedges along the fences. Native gums are fewer than in Logan's bushier suburbs, but the street trees and older boundaries still carry some tall blue gums and ironbarks.
Around Browns Plains the crew does palm removals, umbrella tree removals, hedge trimming and pruning trees off roofs and wires. Logan City Council's clearing rules apply inside the Biodiversity Areas and Waterway Corridors overlays, and most Browns Plains lots under 5,000 square metres sit outside them and are generally exempt, but we confirm your address on the mapping before quoting (Logan City Council). Chipped green waste is removed or left as mulch, whichever you prefer.
Things to watch on Browns Plains properties
- Cocos palms dropping fruit on driveways and attracting bats
- Umbrella tree roots heading for sewer lines on 1980s blocks
- Leopard tree roots lifting concrete driveways and paths

Logan City Council rules for Browns Plains trees
Logan protects vegetation through the Biodiversity Areas Overlay and the Waterway Corridors and Wetlands Overlay of the Logan Planning Scheme 2015. Outside those mapped areas, clearing on a lot under 5,000m² is generally exempt, as is a bushfire protection zone within 10 metres of a dwelling, garden and lawn maintenance, and removal of cadaghi and umbrella trees. Inside a Biodiversity Area, a koala corridor or a waterway corridor you need an operational works approval. Council has an online vegetation clearing decision tool and we run your address through the mapping before quoting.
