Tree services in Marsden: what we see and what we do
Marsden is a 1980s and 90s suburb between Browns Plains and Kingston, laid out on flat ground around Third Avenue with Scrubby Creek along its northern edge. Blocks are standard size and the gardens are typical of the era: cocos palms, golden canes, umbrella trees, mango trees and bottlebrush, with lilly pilly and murraya hedges. Along Scrubby Creek and in the park corridors there are paperbarks and blue gums, and powerlines run along most streets.
For the crew, Marsden means palm removals, mango and umbrella tree removals, hedge work and pruning trees back from roofs and wires. Logan City Council regulates clearing inside its Biodiversity Areas and Waterway Corridors overlays, which here follow Scrubby Creek, while lots elsewhere under 5,000 square metres are generally exempt; we check your address on the mapping before quoting (Logan City Council). Every job is cleaned up and the green waste chipped before we leave.
Things to watch on Marsden properties

Logan City Council rules for Marsden trees
Logan protects vegetation through the Biodiversity Areas Overlay and the Waterway Corridors and Wetlands Overlay of the Logan Planning Scheme 2015. Outside those mapped areas, clearing on a lot under 5,000m² is generally exempt, as is a bushfire protection zone within 10 metres of a dwelling, garden and lawn maintenance, and removal of cadaghi and umbrella trees. Inside a Biodiversity Area, a koala corridor or a waterway corridor you need an operational works approval. Council has an online vegetation clearing decision tool and we run your address through the mapping before quoting.
