Tree services in Logan Village: what we see and what we do
Logan Village is semi-rural country south of Waterford, where the Logan River winds through old farm blocks and rural-residential acreage. Lots run from a few thousand square metres to hectares, and they carry spotted gums, ironbarks, blue gums and she-oaks, with old macadamias, mangoes and camphor laurels around the homesteads. Yarrabilba's new estates sit next door, but Logan Village itself is still long driveways, sheds, dams and paddock trees, and it is mapped as bushfire-prone.
Dan's crew makes the 35-minute run to Logan Village for dead gum removals, deadwooding over sheds and horse yards, and bushfire clearance along tree lines and driveways. Because lots here are mostly over 5,000 square metres, Logan City Council's small-lot exemption does not apply, and clearing inside the Biodiversity Areas or Waterway Corridors overlays may need approval, so we check your mapping first (Logan City Council). Timber stays as firewood if you want it.
Things to watch on Logan Village properties
- Paddock gums with dead crowns over fences and stock
- Bushfire fuel along driveways and tree lines before summer
- Camphor laurels around old homesteads reaching 20 metres

Logan City Council rules for Logan Village trees
Logan protects vegetation through the Biodiversity Areas Overlay and the Waterway Corridors and Wetlands Overlay of the Logan Planning Scheme 2015. Outside those mapped areas, clearing on a lot under 5,000m² is generally exempt, as is a bushfire protection zone within 10 metres of a dwelling, garden and lawn maintenance, and removal of cadaghi and umbrella trees. Inside a Biodiversity Area, a koala corridor or a waterway corridor you need an operational works approval. Council has an online vegetation clearing decision tool and we run your address through the mapping before quoting.
