What we do
Tree Pruning & Trimming in Brisbane, the Redlands and Logan
Pruning is the maintenance side of tree work and the part that saves you money over the life of a tree. A gum that is deadwooded and thinned every few years drops far fewer limbs in a November storm. A jacaranda lifted off the driveway stops scratching cars. A mango cut back from the gutters stops filling them every autumn. Done to AS 4373-2007, each cut is made at the branch collar or to a lateral so the tree seals it over.
We prune everything from feature trees in inner-city yards to rows of gums on Redlands and Logan acreage. The crew climbs rather than hacking from a ladder, which means we can reach the right cuts inside the canopy and leave the tree looking like nobody has been near it.
What's included in our tree pruning & trimming service
Deadwooding
Dead, dying and diseased wood removed throughout the crown. The single best thing you can do for a mature gum over a house or a play area.
Crown lifting
Lower limbs removed to give clearance over paths, driveways, the lawn and the neighbour's fence.
Crown thinning
Crowded and crossing branches taken out so light and wind pass through and the tree carries less sail in a storm.
Roof, gutter and powerline clearance
Growth cut back from the house and the service wire, following the Energex clearance guidance.
Formative pruning of young trees
Setting up a good structure while the tree is small, which avoids expensive work when it is big.
Fruit tree and ornamental pruning
Mangoes, macadamias, frangipanis, poincianas and jacarandas pruned for shape, fruit and clearance.
Signs a tree is due for pruning
- Dead branches you can see from the ground, especially over the roof or driveway
- Branches rubbing the gutters, roof tiles or solar panels
- Growth within the clearance zone of the powerline to the house
- Low limbs you have to duck under on the path or the mower
- A dense crown with no daylight through it, which catches wind
- It has been more than three years since a qualified arborist looked at it

How a tree pruning & trimming job runs
- 01
Call or send photos
Ring 0466 270 743 or use the form. A couple of photos of the tree and the access is enough for us to give a rough figure over the phone.
- 02
Free on-site quote
We look at the tree, the targets under it, the access for the truck and the council mapping, then give you a written fixed price.
- 03
The job
Crew, truck, chipper and grinder arrive on the day. Trees come down in sections over houses, pools and fences, and everything is chipped.
- 04
Clean-up and done
Lawn raked, driveway swept, mulch left if you want it. You pay the quoted price, not a cent more.
