Tree services in Eagleby: what we see and what we do
Eagleby sits on the flat land between the Logan and Albert rivers, south of Beenleigh, with the Eagleby Wetlands on its eastern side. Housing is mostly 1970s and 80s on standard suburban blocks, and the streets carry that era's plantings: cocos palms, umbrella trees, mango trees and leopard trees, with paperbarks and river gums toward the wetlands. The low-lying ground floods, and saturated soil lets big trees lean or fall after heavy rain events like ex-Cyclone Alfred in March 2025.
Eagleby is a regular run for the crew. We remove overgrown palms and pest trees, prune gums and mangoes back off roofs and take out storm-damaged trees. Logan City Council's rules work through the Biodiversity Areas and Waterway Corridors overlays, and lots near the rivers and wetlands are the ones most likely to be mapped, so we check before quoting (Logan City Council). Wires run along most streets, and we plan each job around Energex's exclusion zones.
Things to watch on Eagleby properties
- Umbrella trees and cocos palms crowding small 1970s yards
- Waterlogged root plates letting trees lean after river flooding
- Paperbarks and river gums near the wetlands in waterway mapping

Logan City Council rules for Eagleby trees
Logan protects vegetation through the Biodiversity Areas Overlay and the Waterway Corridors and Wetlands Overlay of the Logan Planning Scheme 2015. Outside those mapped areas, clearing on a lot under 5,000m² is generally exempt, as is a bushfire protection zone within 10 metres of a dwelling, garden and lawn maintenance, and removal of cadaghi and umbrella trees. Inside a Biodiversity Area, a koala corridor or a waterway corridor you need an operational works approval. Council has an online vegetation clearing decision tool and we run your address through the mapping before quoting.
