Tree services in Carseldine: what we see and what we do
Carseldine is a 1980s and 90s suburb of brick homes on standard blocks, with Cabbage Tree Creek running along the eastern side and the old university site being turned into a new residential precinct. Blue gums and spotted gums were kept along the creek and in the parks, and the gardens have leopard trees, cocos palms, golden canes and lilly pilly hedges that have all reached full size. Gympie Road and the Bruce Highway run along the western edge.
The crew is about 50 minutes away and takes Carseldine work as part of a north-side day. Leopard tree reductions, palm removals and gums over roofs on the creek side are the regular jobs. Trees may be protected under Brisbane City Council's Natural Assets Local Law 2003, especially in the creek corridor, though a trunk within 3 metres of the house or under 30 centimetres diameter is generally exempt, and we check the mapping for your address as part of the quote (council fact sheet).

Brisbane City Council rules for Carseldine trees
Most of the northside is Brisbane City Council, where the Natural Assets Local Law 2003 applies and the council fact sheet exempts trees within 3 metres of the house, trees under 30cm trunk diameter, dead and hazardous trees, and pruning of up to 20 per cent of foliage a year. Albany Creek, Strathpine, North Lakes and everything north of the Pine River is the City of Moreton Bay, which protects habitat trees and koala habitat through its planning scheme overlays and says you may need approval before clearing. We check whichever mapping applies to your address before quoting.
